I’ve been kind of obsessing over lilac highlighter lately. It’s just so… magical-looking. It’s high fashion and it’s edgy and it’s different but somehow it’s still not weird, you know? I love toeing that line.
So yeah, I decided it’s time to bite the bullet and try one out.
I have my fair share of powder highlighters, so I went for something new – the Milk holographic stick in supernova. And – yeah, it’s super.
but before I go on… can we talk about the fact that there is actual stardust in this stuff? Like, really. Don’t believe me? Check the website.
Anyway, magical stardust aside, this stuff is fabulous.
It’s chocked full of mango butter, coconut and avocado oil, and something the website calls “twilight pearls”. Whatever those are, they lend your skin a gorgeous dewy glow in a luminous lilac colour that is TO. DIE. FOR.
A little dab is natural and dewy and delicious. A few layers? BAM glowy unicorn goddess.
My only complaint is that if you swipe this on over your foundation it can move your base around a bit; best way to counter it? Swipe it over your finger and dab it on your cheeks. I also like to give my foundation a bit of time to dry on my skin before I go in with this product – it just seems to work better.
What do you think about the holographic highlighter trend? Are you as into it as I am? What’s your fave?
ANYWAY, I’m back on the Scandal bandwagon, so I’m gunna toast an everything bagel and continue watching the US government destroy itself…. you know, not that it’s remotely realistic, or anything.
love + stardust,
PS, how cute are these beaded bracelets? I bought the supplies at Michaels yesterday and have been beading up a storm ever since.
